Eduardo Lazzarotto had honed more than 15 years of experience supporting multiple start-ups and corporations in the infrastructure sector prior to joining ALLPLAN, a global provider of Building Information Modeling (BIM) design software to architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) companies.

What attracted Lazzarotto to ALLPLAN, part of the Nemetschek Group, and made him committed to contributing as SVP Product & Strategy, was the firm’s unique vision, value proposition, culture, and modus operandi. He was also attracted to the firm’s unique software, which includes integrated cloud technology, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration on building and civil engineering projects and automating the design and construction processes throughout all project phases.

“I felt instantly connected to ALLPLAN’s offerings as it provides the solutions that the modern AEC industry truly needs. True to ALLPLAN’s tagline “Design to Build,” its end-to-end software covers the entire process from the first concept to final detailed design, enabling clients to create projects of the highest quality,” shares Lazzarotto.

From architecture and interiors to structural and MEP engineering, civil and bridge engineering, reinforced concrete, precast detailing to construction site planning, ALLPLAN’s interdisciplinary BIM design software supports efficient workflows across every discipline, from concept to detailed construction deliverables. Consequently, the client’s different departments can work collaboratively and directly, seamlessly taking their vision from designing into a buildable model.

The firm also brings cloud-as-a-technology to help clients maintain a collaborative workspace across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple platforms.

Another key factor that contributes to ALLPLAN’s success as a leading player is its progressive and innovative mindset. It is investing in growing its technology downstream towards construction and simultaneously upgrading its technology stack to expand its capabilities to road, bridge, and infrastructure construction projects. To that end, it has recently added precast in its offerings, where the designs can be directly taken into fabrication and to deliver the finished materials to the construction site. This helps clients plan the delivery of items on-site and ensure they have the right material at the right time.

ALLPLAN has also included steel operations in its solution stack. It is growing its capabilities to establish a connected system where steel fabricators can gather designs from architects and deliver steel components on time and on budget.

“Our software is unique because it’s built by our subject matter experts from multiple disciplines, who also use it,” says Lazzarotto.

It also has workers from multiple offices working collaboratively – located across different geographical locations. These employees from various socio-cultural backgrounds contribute numerous creative ideas, making ALLPLAN technology more inventive and breakthrough.

ALLPLAN understands the importance of human intelligence and creativity in developing top-notch solutions for clients. It ensures that the software doesn’t completely substitute its employee operations and enables them to contribute to every process. The firm’s architects and engineers make real-time collaborations with clients to understand their goals and preferences and tailor the automation in its software to ensure that clients can achieve every objective of their projects.

Differentiating it is its commitment to uplifting OPEN BIM practices. ALLPLAN and Nemetschek are supporters of OPEN BIM and understand how universally accessible tools and data can help the AEC industry. To that end, the firm allows clients to choose different platforms and work with them in an integrated manner to benefit their projects.

Its end-to-end offerings, innovative software, diverse workforce, and commitment to providing superior solutions in every client engagement make ALLPLAN a repeated choice of clients globally.

AllPlan announces latest version of BIM Software for Bridge Design

AllPlan has released the newest version of AllPlan Bridge, a BIM software specifically designed for bridge engineering.
The software company says that the release of AllPlan Bridge 2024 provides users with the tools to optimise designs, speed up project delivery and enhance client value.
AllPlan says that the latest version has the ability to simplify the complex task of positioning a bridge by integrating parametric referencing with a focus on functionality, safety, and aesthetics.
The new version also expands the capabilities of the existing modelling methods, allowing any element (e.g., girders, piers, decks) to be extracted into a 3D body for versatile use while remaining fully parametric.
Gregor Strekelj, product manager of infrastructure at AllPlan, says, “We are thrilled to introduce the latest release of Allplan Bridge, which marks a significant milestone in our commitment to empowering bridge engineers and design professionals worldwide.
“Our powerful and automated modelling and detailing tools, along with extended structural analysis capabilities, are set to streamline digital design workflows, making them more efficient and effective than ever before.”
The company adds that the latest software has the ability to streamline construction schedules in a single window. In addition to this, the software can handle various load scenarios, including traveller movement, segment assembly, and self-weight application.

The Allplan Build The Future Summit 2024

ALLPLAN and Nemetschek to present the latest trends, tools, and practices for the AEC industry at virtual event on 23/24 April
Munich ALLPLAN and the Nemetschek Group, are launching a virtual summit on April 23rd and 24th, 2024. 29 online sessions will be led by an expert line-up of speakers from 12 different countries, demonstrating the commitment to fostering international collaboration within the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Participants will learn about cutting-edge technologies and trends and gain insights into best practices via customer projects such as from CANAM, the largest structural steel, steel joist and deck fabricator in North America as well as the Swiss construction company KIBAG. Presentations will be held in English with subtitles in multiple languages.
As the AEC industry undergoes an unprecedented digital transformation, embracing innovative technologies isn't just an advantage - it's a necessity. This evolution is setting new standards for productivity, sustainability, and innovation, providing solutions to age-old industry challenges and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in building and infrastructure projects.
"Enabling AEC professionals to optimize their projects for efficiency from inception to construction is at the heart of our 'Design to Build' corporate strategy," explains Dr. Detlef Schneider, CEO of ALLPLAN. "At our ALLPLAN Summit, we bring together architects, engineers, fabricators and general contractors to learn about the latest trends, tools and practices. In doing so, we are helping them deliver a better built environment."
29 sessions in 2 days
The Summit agenda is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advances and best practices in the AEC industry. The first afternoon of the virtual event will focus on ALLPLAN's ‘Design to Build’ strategy and vision for a better built environment, as well as the latest trends such as digital twins, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. Participants will gain insight into the latest efficient workflows and technologies that are shaping the future for architects, structural engineers, detailers, fabricators and contractors, paving the way for improved project outcomes.
In addition to customer presentations, key sessions on the first afternoon will explore the revolutionary impact of digital twin technology on the building lifecycle, driving efficiency and sustainability to new heights. Another session will take a deep dive into the transformative impact of cloud technology on collaboration, project management, and data sharing within the AEC industry, revolutionizing traditional practices. Participants will also have the opportunity to understand the benefits and methods of integrating multiple material considerations into the design-to-build process, promoting versatility and sustainability in projects.
