AI security, autonomous, hyperautomation, and blockchain will drive the disruption and also generate opportunities in the following year’s strategic technology trends.
FREMONT, CA: Technology is now on the verge of evolving and moving beyond augmentation that will have the ability to replace several capabilities of humans into augmentation that will have the potential of a superhuman. Here are a few of the strategic technology trends that can impact the construction industry in the future.

The construction tasks that once humans had to do, is now mostly automated. Hyperautomation have to deal with the appliances of highly developed technologies, and it also includes artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) so that it can automate the procedures and augment humans. Though it is not possible to replace humans, hyperautomation includes a combination of tools, consisting of robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent business management software (iBPMS) and AI, so that it can make AI-driven decisions.
Multiexperience
Multiexperience can exchange technology-literate people with people-literate technology. In this application, the general idea of a computer advances from a single point of interaction that consists of multisensory and multi-touchpoint interfaces like wearables and advanced computer sensors.
The trend has the ability to provide ambient experience. Still, presently multiexperience concentrates on immersive experiences that apply augmented reality (AR), virtual (VR), mixed reality, multichannel human-machine interfaces and sensing technologies.
Democratization
The democratization of technology offers users easy access to technical or business expertise that does not need extensive or expensive training. The four key areas where it focuses are application development, data and analytics, design and knowledge.
Human augmentation
The technology that augments the user’s cognitive and physical experiences is known as Human augmentation. Physical augmentation changes the inherent physical ability by implanting the technology inside or on the body.
Physical augmentation comes under the categories of Sensory augmentation (hearing, vision, perception), appendage and biological function augmentation (exoskeletons, prosthetics), brain augmentation (implants to treat seizures) and genetic augmentation (somatic gene and cell therapy).
